1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using The Inherited Estate website, or by booking an appointment through our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our site or services.
2. Appointment Booking
- All appointments are subject to availability and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- All bookings are confirmed via email to the address provided at the time of booking.
- Clients are limited to one active booking at a time. If multiple appointments are booked simultaneously, all bookings may be cancelled.
- You may bring up to 3 guests per appointment, as selected during the booking process.
3. Deposit Policy
- A $50 CAD non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your appointment.
- The deposit is authorized (held) on your credit card at the time of booking.
- The deposit will be applied toward your purchase at The Inherited Estate.
- If you attend your appointment, the $50 deposit is applied as credit toward your purchase.
- If you cancel with 24 or more hours notice, the deposit hold is released and your card is not charged.
- If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the $50 deposit will be captured and charged to your card.
- If you do not show up for your appointment (no-show), the $50 deposit will be captured and charged to your card.
4. Cancellation Policy
- You may cancel your appointment at any time through the Manage Booking page on our website.
- Cancellations made 24 or more hours before the scheduled appointment time: the deposit hold is voided and no charge is applied to your card.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time: the $50 deposit is captured as a cancellation fee.
- No-shows: the $50 deposit is captured in full.
5. All Sales Final
- All purchases made at The Inherited Estate are final.
- No returns, exchanges, or refunds will be issued on purchased items.
- All items are sold in as-is condition as vintage and pre-owned goods.
- Please inspect all items carefully before completing your purchase.
6. Shopping Experience
- The Inherited Estate is a private, appointment-only shopping experience.
- Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in a shortened appointment duration; appointment end times will not be extended.
- The Inherited Estate reserves the right to refuse service to any individual at its sole discretion.
- Photography and recording may be restricted in certain areas of the space.
7. Payment
- We accept card payments processed through Square.
- All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
- Applicable taxes (GST) will be applied where required by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
- The Inherited Estate is not responsible for any damage to or loss of personal property during your visit.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the appointment deposit.
- We make no warranties regarding the condition, authenticity, or value of vintage items beyond what is explicitly described at the time of sale.
9. Privacy
Your personal information is collected, used, and stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our website and services, you consent to the practices described therein.
10. Changes to Terms
- We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice.
- Continued use of the website or booking of appointments following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
- The date at the top of this page reflects when these terms were last revised.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
